School Visits

Mimi Thebo does 'certified inspirational' school visits that make students and staff feel energised and uplifted.

The Dreaming the Bear (KS3) visit explores how reading for pleasure can help young people take control of their own lives.

The Coyote Summer (KS3) visit is about personal resilience and how to come back from failure.

The Hospital High (16+) visit talks about finding your place in the world, even when things are difficult.

The Drawing Together visit (years R - 2) helps children explore difference and encourages reading and writing.

Reader in Creative Writing at the University of Bristol, Mimi has nearly twenty years' experience in Creative Writing pedagogy at all levels and really gets the best from all workshop participants.

'The English staff were buzzing and all commented on how Mimi was interesting, engaging, creative and inspiring...Mimi connected with the students really well. The whole school keeps telling me how fantastic Mimi's visit was.'

Mrs Holloway, School Librarian, Lutterworth High

'The children were fascinated as Mimi shared her life as an author and listened attentively. Furthermore, Mimi's visit inspired the children to write their own stories.'

Mrs Chidzey, Stanton Drew Primary

'Mimi had a great rapport with the students. They loved her bear facts.'

Mrs Smith, School Librarian, Prior Park College

'The children asked LOADS of questions. Now I'm thinking about a career change.'
