DetailsMy career before writing was as a regional school's librarian. Now I enjoy visiting schools to talk to children about my work, and aim to help them enjoy writing as much as I do.
My books are mainly for children aged 3 to10, and some of my stories link in with curriculum subjects for KS 2/3. I have also written plays for a professional touring theatre company.
My school visits can be geared to the requirements of the teachers. Otherwise I aim to explain how I got the ideas for the stories, and how I developed those ideas. I suggest to the children how they might do the same.
I also tutor a weekly adult education class 'writing children' stories' and occasionally give adult workshops, so I am able to go into more depth for older pupils.
