Based in St Helens, Merseyside, Rachel writes rhyming picture books and early readers for children aged 3 to 11.

Her books include:

I Wish I'd Been Born A Unicorn (recommended in The Summer Reading  Challenge 2015, named in Top Ten bedtime books ever by The Great British Bookshop, listed in Best Books of 2014 in Books for Keeps Bookseller survey, and is a CBeebies Bedtime Story) 

The Cautionary Tale of The Childe of Hale (finalist for Best Picture Book UK at The Heart of Hawick Children’s Book Awards 2014).Based on the life of a real historical giant who lived near Liverpool in the 16th Century. The book's popularity led The National Trust to create a woodland trail based upon it at Speke Hall near Liverpool, for which Rachel wrote the rhyming introductions for each activity.

Not Enough for Queen Fluff is Rachel's latest picture book.

Early readers include; A Right Royal Mess and I Wish I'd Been Born A Unicorn (early reader version of the original picture book).

Rachel loves visitng schools around the region to share her love of reading and writing with children, from EYFS up to and including KS2. Her sessions are always interactive and fun, and most often described as 'inspirational' by teachers.

Rachel is a Patron of Reading in Primary Schools, has DBS clearance and is also available to deliver workshops in libraries and literary festivals across the North of England.
