Sophie Ambrose brought reading, writing and art to life when she came to visit. The children were captivated by her illustrations drawn live in the whole school assembly. Each year group was given a tailor-made workshop which allowed them to understand how she came to create her beloved characters: the lonely giant and Albie. She created a buzz and excitement during the week of World Book Day and sent children home eager to create their own stories and to get lost in their reading books. Thank you Sophie!

What a fantastic day! The assembly was very engaging and the children absolutely loved interacting with the story and the characters that Jason brought to life - brilliant! The children all took part in workshops throughout the day and also really enjoyed creating their own characters for their stories. They we still taking about them well afterwards. Thank you for coming to visit us!

Wow! Such a fantastic day with Matt. The assembly was engaging, informative and fun. The students who took part in the workshops dug deep to write about their own resilience stories and I have noticed a real uptake in borrowing (specifically Matt's books) since his visit.

We had a wonderful visit from Ray Star on World Book Day. Ray did workshops with each year group where she talked about her journey as an author and the books she has written. She helped the children develop their own stories by thinking about the types of characters and what might happen. Ray was really engaging and brilliant with the children - we all loved her visit! Thank you Ray Star!

The communication between Lou and the school was fantastic, and the resources provided were amazing. All the children engaged in the workshops and the fact she would do larger numbers meant all the school were able to access her sessions.

Ken worked with Year 7 to create some suspenseful creative pieces which the students really enjoyed! After the session, students were keen to share their writing with each other and a few have been inspired to start writing short stories at home! Ken was enthusiastic, engaging and adaptable. Thanks Ken!

Josh came to visit our college yesterday to speak to our students over two talks. I can't speak highly enough of Josh, the event was fantastic and the students had a great time. We will 100% be rebooking for next year.

Kimberly was absolutely fantastic and the girls loved meeting her. They really got a well-deserved confidence boost from the session she led, and the activities were so accessible to all ability-levels in the group. She has a lovely and calming personality and her focus on being introverted deeply resonated with the group.
